Banana Avocado Smoothie

1 med frozen banana
1 ripe avocado
3 ice cubes
1/2 C. milk – of any kind
(can adapt/sub to make dairy free)
1/8 C. agave – or any sweetener
1 tsp. vanilla

Put all ingredients into blender. Mix until smooth.
*Don’t be alarmed at the green color*

I adapted the recipe. The original recipe calls for a lot more sweetener and less liquid – when made this way it’s like a very thick, sweet, ice-cream like “smoothie”.

I remember my sister and I making this after a workout. We were so nervous to try it cause it seemed like such a weird combination. Now it’s one of my favorite, go-to smoothies!

Not only my husband will eat it, but my picky nieces love it. If you can get your kids over the green color, I’m sure they’ll like it too. The avocado adds so much creaminess and the sweetness from the banana is just right.
